Patron logins require an authentication server of some sort to manage the login credentials. Enterprise can connect with a SIP, LDAP, CAS or Symphony Web Services authentication server. In order to have seamless connectivity with Symphony and to take advantage of the native My Account functionality, you must connect Portfolio through the Symphony Web Services server or through an LDAP server that connects to Symphony through web services.
